In Madrid, Spain, Sierra Leone is honoured to have hosted and Chaired the High-Level Meeting of Attorneys General & Ministers of Justice, Senior government representatives, development partners, and partner organisations to mark the third phase (2026-2030) of the Justice Action Coalition – a global coalition of states and partners committed closing the justice gap by designing and implementing justice services that respond to the evolving needs of the people.
Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Alpha Sesay used the moment to emphasized our collective message that ‘people-centered justice is not optional, but essential to peace, security, sustainable development, and good governance’. He urged states to sustain political leadership, take national ownership, and invest boldly in justice reforms that deliver results for people.
